Rum Cake

This cake, perfect for breakfast, is very easy to prepare! You only need 7 minutes to make it. Is super soft like a pillow and it taste is very sweet and delicate. I recommend to make it with or without Rum because it’s delicious in any way!

Preparation time: 7 minutes + 20 minutes in the oven

Ingrediens:

  • 110g egg yolks
  • 50g eggs
  • 185g olive oil
  • 175g powdered sugar
  • 130g potato flour
  • 15g rum
  • 125g flour
  • 8g baking powder
  • 50g milk
  • pinch of salt
  • 100g egg whites

Instructions:

  1. Heat the oven at 210ºC and prepare a baking tin with oil and flour, so the cake will not get attach to it.
  2. In a bowl mix the egg yolks with the whole eggs and oil. Add the sugar, the potato flour and salt.
  3. Add in the bowl the sifted flour and baking powder, rum and milk. Miximg_8729
  4. Add the whipped egg whites and mix with a spatula.
  5. Place the cake in the baking tin and heat for 10 minutes, then low the heat until 180ºC for other 10-15 minutes.
  6. Let the cake cool and spread the powdered sugar on top and it is ready!img_8736
