Those super easy to prepare energy bars are perfect for a very healthy snack during the day! They are dietetic but you could enrich them with dark chocolate or the chocolate you must prefer, as I made. They are crunchy and delicious! Those bars are totally vegan so everyone can eat them, no excuses 😉
Degree of difficulty: easy
Preparation time:
For the dough: 10 minutes + 30 minutes in the oven
For the topping: 10 minutes
Ingredients: (for 20 Bars)
For the dough:
- a handful of whole almonds
- a handful of chopped walnuts
- 3 cups oatmeal
- a handful of raisins
- 2 cups whole grains
- 2 tablespoons flax seeds
- 3 tablespoons chia seeds
- 3 tablespoons maple syurp
- 200g water
For the topping:
- 150g dark chocolate/milk chocolate
Instructions:
- Chop the almonds in four pieces and the walnuts in many little pieces. Cut the raisins in half too.
- In a large bowl add the oatmeal, the whole grains, flax seeds, chia seeds and mix with a wooden spoon. Now add the almonds, walnuts, raisins and the maple syrup.
- When everything is mixed very well you can add the water very carefully, because if you add too much the dough will became too thick and our Energy Bars will not became crunchy at all.

- Preheat the oven at 180ºC and place your dough in a large and rectangular baking tin already covered with parchment paper, and with your wooden spoon compact the dough.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes and before it gets cold cut it with a large knife. You could cut them in many and different ways you want, I choose the most common shape: the rectangular one, but you could choose a square or a triangular…
- Now you could let them just like this: simple and healthy. Place them in the fridge (if the temperature outside is too warm) or if the temperature it’s normal you could let them out.

- If you desire (and I suggest you) you could dip them in melted dark chocolate or another kind of chocolate and then place them in an already cutted parchment paper in the fridge (so the chocolate will cool completely) and they are ready to be eaten! Enjoy 🙂

You could dip them in a half or the both sides
